Social Pragmatic Intervention

Marilyn A. Nippold, Ph.D.

Abstract:
This presentation will focus on the conversational use of questions and comments, and non-verbal cues, primarily for children exhibiting language disorders associated with diagnoses of ASD or Asperger’s.   We will explore practical therapy techniques, incorporating the work of Michelle G. Winner and Jeanette McAfee, which can be utilized in both private and school-based settings.  We also use video examples to demonstrate these techniques.
