Behavioral Intervention for the Non-Behaviorist: Strategies for In–Session Challenges

Abstract:
Session will address strategies for in-session behavioral challenges. Ways to conceptualize challenges will be emphasized, as will practical interventions for use by non-behaviorally trained clinicians. Ample time for discussion and application of material to existing case examples will be provided. Focus will be on strategies for children.

:
Kurt A. Freeman, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry and behavioral psychologist at the Child Development and Rehabilitation, Oregon Health & Science University. His clinical and research activities emphasize methods of behavioral assessment and treatment for children with and without special health care needs, particularly strategies applicable in applied settings.
